Youth Jam Merdeka Countdown

During 31st of August 2010, we are having Merdeka Countdown regarding to the Youth Jam Super Merdeka Celebration at TimeSquare. We will perform a theaterette during that time and also balloon releasing activity.

we finally reach!

everyone was busy preparing helium balloon

this was the big main helium balloon with flag holding by XinYu

everyone will have their six balloon respectively

too bad, im the bamboo BST player so i have to pass
my 6BBBB to another balloon release person

before 11.30pm, i fill my time with sketching the bamboo dome logo

while other was doing some perspective sketch



when time reach 11.30pm, we gather up as line with our mask, BST, and 6BBBB

3, 2, 1..... MERDEKA!!! (balloon have been release)

the party gone wild!

we have to gather and go to the bus on 12.30am

we have no proper seat due to excessive people in a bus
(pity, we have to sit on end of the bus. no sofa OK?)

What a blast Merdeka countdown and celebration! All of us were tired but yet we are HAPPY and excited :D

Task : One Point Perspective

During monday, we are taught about perspective by Dr. Mazran. There are one-point perspective, two-point perspective and three-point perspective. Then we are required to draw A One-Point Perspective without plan and elevation.

We are taught starting with a straight line with
vanishing point (vp) in the middle

then draw some square on both side of the vanishing point (vp)

after that, draw small square again on both side
too after the drawing the vanishing lines


then draw the convergence line to complete a simple
one-point perpective picture

Rusli Jamaluddin was teaching us some technique

everyone was focusing~

Then we are sketching a human being in form of one-point perpective too. The model represented by Mahram~

Assignment : REDO 6-Balloon Black Bamboo Box

I was going to redo the 6-balloon black bamboo box regarding to the Youth Jam super merdeka celebration. It's because what i done last time was too big and heavy. It's not suitable for flying with the only six balloon. Lets recall back what i done for the last time :

It was totally big and heavy enough! FAILED -.-

Alright, let start with the brand new 6-balloon black bamboo box ~!

this time, im using bamboo stick which i buy from
paper-joss shop and also garbage bag!

start to divide into several parts

i 'subtract' what i don't need

making the bamboo stick passing through
the garbage bag

then tired with 'gasing' thread and rubber band

as handy as possible

Assignment 5A : 3 Minute Merdeka Theaterette

Today we have presented our 3 minute Merdeka Theaterette. In the group of 10, we need to produce a short theaterette with combination of time, space, form, costume, motion, scripts and others.

On sunday we started to discuss what theaterette we gonna perform; the plot, scripts and action we gonna plan for the theaterette. And finally we practice the theaterette together a few time at RST.
