Today, there was an BiG discussion at HBP, Studio E48B. The discussion mainly about how we make a big jump to APEX at 2012. According to hbp.usm.my/1b/buluh, USM BIG (Bamboo Interest Group) is one of the collective efforts to realize USM's Vision of Transforming Higher Education for a Sustainable Tomorrow.
During the discussion, there was an FAQ section raise after Mr. Wan Burhanuddin's talk given.
1) How much bamboo do we have?
- deforestation occur
- maybe only left 10% of it
- depend how big was the place
- grass grow in the clumps, harvesting is a problem
2) How long does it take to grow?
- it's a fast growing plants, but what the exactly period we need to find it out
3) What us the challenge that is expected to face or will be facing?
- we do not any sponsor, and yet that not a challenge to stop us from this
4) How will this project contribute to APEX?
- we cant take anyone as a model, because we will always behind the model.
- we need to lead ahead
- use bamboo to unite, to see how we change the education, co-curriculum
- do not care about the resourse, just do it. Do what we have to do and create the continuous
- saves the world, saves the people in the world, saves the principle
5) What if earthquake or tornado happen in 2012 other than flood?
- south africa build building with bamboo to prevent earthquake
- is one of the exemption. we need all help from another, we does not expect it to happen, thanks god, if it does not happen.

7) How long was the bamboo life span?
- we do need research, because we still have no idea
- different climates different life span

- some professional said epilepsy can be cure using bamboo
