Online Assignment 6 : Survival Kit on IBU

Based on the invention adopted from Galeri Penyelidikan USM, I have design a Survival Kit to go on to the IBU. From my invention, it’s a Wireless Network Monitoring and Surveillance Tools.

Red PONDOK was the headquarter IBU, while the pink was PONDOK.

Due to the disaster time, the IBU will acts a the headquarter which able to monitor the activities in each PONDOK through the wireless monitoring and surveillance systems build on the IBU and PONDOK. If anything happens, the PONDOK can be physically linked to the headquarter, IBU.


An Intelligent Realtime Network Monitoring and Surveillance Tool is a robust, agent-less, passive monitoring tool providing real-time capabilities. It is designed to be installed on a laptop for mobility and allows to plug into any Ethernet and they can monitor immediately. With this installed in each of the PONDOK and IBU, a 24hours monitoring a easily to take place to ensure the safety and needs of occupants which temporary staying in PONDOK.


While, the novel antenna on the top of the IBU and PONDOK is a transducer that transmits or receives electromagnetic waves that acts as a medium of communication. Novel antenna consists of microstip linecoupled to the dielectric resonator and It’s operates at 2.5 GHz and the resonance frequency is adjustable by varying the thickness of the dielectric resonator. This novel antenna has a big potential in wireless applications such as cellular phone, MIMO wireless system, WLAN and GPS system and of course,it is suitable to be installed at IBU and PONDOK as a communication devices.

Any problem occur on PONDOK, the Intelligent Realtime Network Monitoring and Surveillance Tool that installed in the laptop, will be used to connect to the headquarter, IBU to solved the problem. Example, for any emergency occur like in the 40days on water, the headquarter, IBU will send the information to every PONDOK as warning to let everyone get ready and prepared themself. This is the best and fastest way to communicate with each other and it also works as monitoring surveillance purpose for occupants that temporary staying in the PONDOK for about 40days long.
